Effective date: October 28, 2026. Outfit Ideas (“we”, “us”) operates outfitideas.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Contact: [email protected].

Information we collect

Information you give us

If you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address and message. If you subscribe to a newsletter (if offered), we collect your email address.

Information collected automatically

When you visit, we and our partners collect device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location and the date and time of your visit. We collect this using cookies and similar technologies.

Information from partners

Affiliate networks and retailers may tell us that a purchase was made through our links. We do not receive your payment details.

How we use information

  • To run, secure and improve the site and its content.
  • To answer your messages and requests.
  • To measure traffic with analytics.
  • To show advertising and to earn affiliate commissions.
  • To comply with the law and enforce our terms.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them for essential site functions, analytics and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not work as well. You can also use the cookie or consent banner on our site, where shown, to manage your choices.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, including through the Google Site Kit plugin, to understand how visitors use the site. Google may set cookies and collect usage data. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising and ad networks

We work with advertising partners to display ads. Our ad management partner is Mediavine.

We use Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit our website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file sent to your device. First-party cookies are created by the site you are visiting. Third-party cookies are created by someone other than the site you are visiting. Mediavine and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies, and data such as your IP address, to personalize ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud. To learn how Mediavine collects and uses data, read the Mediavine Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, or by using the privacy choices link on our site where shown. Opting out does not remove ads, only makes them less tailored.

When you click an affiliate link, the network or retailer (for example Skimlinks, ShopMy or Amazon) may place cookies to track the visit so we get credit for sales. Their handling of your data is covered by their own privacy policies. See our disclosure.

How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us run the site (hosting, analytics, email, security), with advertising and affiliate partners as described above, and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. If we are involved in a sale or merger, information may be transferred. We do not sell your information for money, but sharing data with ad partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may count as a “sale” or “sharing” under some state laws. See below.

Your US state privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA and others)

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and other states with privacy laws may have rights, depending on the state, to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and access a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not intentionally collect it).
  • Not be discriminated against for using these rights.

To make a request, contact us and choose “Privacy request”. We may need to verify your identity. You can use an authorized agent. If we decline a request, residents of some states can appeal by replying to our decision.

We honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required by law. In the past 12 months we have collected identifiers, internet activity and approximate location data for the purposes above, and shared them with analytics, advertising and affiliate partners. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of people under 16.

California’s “Shine the Light” law lets California residents ask about disclosures to third parties for direct marketing. We do not make such disclosures.

Children’s privacy (COPPA)

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

We link to retailers and other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the effective date above when we do.
